Am I required to have health insurance?

The minimum essential health insurance mandate has been eliminated for years 2019 and after.


What is the new child tax credit amount?

 For 2025, the child tax credit for children under 17 years old is $2200;  another dependent credit of $500 for all other qualifying dependents.


 STANDARD DEDUCTIONS FOR 2025:


Single Taxpayer:                                                     $15750

or Married Filing Separately

65 or older or blind      addtl                                               $2000


Head of Household                                               $23625

65 or older or blin  addtl                                                     $2000

Married filing jointly or                                        $31500

Qualified widow(er)


Additional increases:
